El pájaro de fuego

This book is an adaptation of the classic Russian folktale "The Firebird," collected by Aleksandr Nikolayevich Afanasyev. Tsar Visslav Andronovich offers half his kingdom to whoever captures the Firebird that steals his golden apples. While his older brothers fail, Ivan, the youngest son, manages to obtain a feather from the bird. The capricious Tsar now demands the bird be brought to him alive. With the help of a gray wolf with magical powers, Ivan embarks on an adventure in which he must overcome numerous trials, including the betrayal of his brothers, to achieve success.
