Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Extraordinary Story of Circ Cric! An amazing journey in which we accompany the clown Tortell Poltrona on his poetic insurrection. From cultural resistance in the streets of Franco's Sarrià to the founding of Clowns Without Borders, Orzowei the flea —the show's tiniest star— will take us through the refugee camps of Yugoslavia, the jungles of Colombia, and all the paths Circ Cric has traveled. This graphic documentary captures the circus as a poetics of movement that engages with the visual lyricism of Berta Cusó's watercolors. Through its pages, we discover that the circus is, in reality, a sacred way of confronting life and death. On the margins of the world, where everything else has failed, laughter reveals itself as a vital "useless good," capable of restoring dignity.
