In 1897, the Irish writer Bram Stoker capitalized on the fears of Victorian society to create a shadowy and terrifying creature: Count Dracula, the vampire of the Carpathians, whose dark figure has since occupied a prominent place in the nightmares of humankind. The brilliant illustrator Georges Bess adapts this classic of horror literature into a graphic novel, presented here in a new, expanded edition that includes an adaptation of the short story "Dracula's Guest," where Stoker foreshadowed the characters and supernatural atmosphere of his celebrated novel.
