La nación de los extraños : Un nuevo hogar para el siglo XXI

“Mom, I’m not coming home.” This sentence marks the beginning of Ece Temelkuran’s involuntary existence as a global citizen. After the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016, she left her country to write freely and became part of the “nation of strangers,” those who have had to leave their homeland or no longer feel at home in their own country. To combat loneliness, nostalgia, and displacement, the author seeks out others whom war, climate change, the desire for freedom, or simply the desire to exist have forced to relocate. These are real, historical, and literary testimonies with which to share the feeling of searching for a new home.
