El secreto de Victor Black

At dawn on January 9, 2017, Jacob Fisher, a San Francisco financial advisor, finds his wife Natalie's body in the kitchen, stabbed to death and covered with praying mantises. The murder coincides with the disappearance of Sharon, the couple's teenage daughter. Taking charge of the investigation, Detective Inspector William Parker realizes that the killer's modus operandi is the same as that of Victor Black, a serial killer serving his sentence on death row at San Quentin State Prison. However, the details of his crimes were never made public. Why have the mantises returned? Did they catch the wrong man, or is it a copycat who managed to get hold of the information? To solve the mystery, Parker will have to interview Black in prison. Thus begins a game of manipulation and lies that exposes the prisoner's cold and egocentric personality: as the detective's certainties crumble, his closest circle may be threatened by a secret hidden for years.
