Distracción (Serie Mindf*ck, 2)

I was so focused on a single goal for so long that I forgot there was anything else out there. Until Lana came along. She's everything I never imagined I'd find, and I love not being able to predict any of her moves or reactions. That's partly why I fall more in love with her every day. But I also know that she's very closed off, that she hides things from me that she feels she can't share. I hope that one day she'll trust me enough to tell me. I don't realize how strong she is until my job puts her in danger, but that doesn't stop me from doing everything I can to protect her. I should step back so she's safer, but I can't. So I'm forced to find other ways to keep her safe. I just hope it's enough. Even though she's brave, she's still fragile... isn't she?
