Sorawo, Toriko, and Kozakura visit DS Laboratories in search of any clues about the whereabouts of Satsuki Uruma, Toriko's missing friend. There, they witness the phenomena experienced by Type 4 contactees and confront a riddle Satsuki posed before her departure. It is then that the so-called "bird box" appears, an artifact that conceals a terrible curse. In this volume, paranormal phenomena intertwine with complex human relationships.
