El Golem

In Prague's former Jewish ghetto, Athanasius Pernath, a solitary gem cutter, experiences a strange encounter. A visitor commissions him to repair the Ibbur, the Kabbalistic treatise on the fertilization of the soul. But when Pernath tries to recall the man's face, he discovers to his horror that he cannot: his memory has been completely erased. From that moment on, his reality blurs with dreams, and the legends of the ghetto come to life. The Golem, a faceless clay creature that every thirty-three years roams the streets sowing terror, seems to have awakened. Pernath is swept away by forbidden passions and inexplicable coincidences, traversing the hidden path of spiritual awakening to discover who he truly is and what hidden forces are pulling the strings of his destiny.
