After the tumultuous years of the Civil War, Clara Castelao lives with her son Miguel in a small town outside Barcelona, ​​concealing her past on the Republican side. The lives and customs of the townspeople unfold amidst unresolved grievances, secrets dormant in memory, and resigned silences that the vanquished keep and the victors celebrate. The arrival of a former comrade-in-arms of her husband will jeopardize her new identity while stirring up feelings she thought were long dormant: her flight from her hometown, the deaths she hasn't been able to mourn, and wounds that refuse to heal.
