They are all rich, beautiful, and look younger than their years. In Salthill-on-Hudson, a town barely half an hour from Manhattan, the inhabitants live in a pleasant harmony that seems to transport them to a distant land. But when Adam Berendt, a charismatic and mysterious sculptor, dies in an unexpected act of heroism, the precarious social equilibrium crumbles. Overwhelmed by grief, but above all by confusion, several women and some men from the town embark on a quest for answers that is, in reality, a desperate attempt to escape certain truths they have been trying to avoid for years.
