Gonzalo is going through a rough patch. Or, rather, he's going through ANOTHER rough patch. Between being exploited by the multinational coffee company where he works as a barista, the unpleasant customers, the lousy salary, and the fact that he can't find a job in his field, he feels trapped in a nightmare. The only good thing in his life is his girlfriend Bego, whom he's been with for ten years. Although that stresses him out too. Not her, of course, but the expectations of his (rich) family. Always asking when they're going to get married, when they're going to leave that rented hovel, when Gon is going to get a "real" job. And he doesn't even know what's coming. Because as soon as the oh great TikToker and beekeeper, Reyes Cisneros, files a complaint of biblical proportions claiming that his coffee "tastes like blood," his already miserable life goes downhill fast. First came the dreams. Those dreams where he's a soldier of a nonexistent kingdom and Reyes is an enemy spy. Gon would chalk them up to post-traumatic stress from that damn lawsuit if it weren't for the fact that Reyes is having the exact same dreams. And now that's a real nightmare. A nightmare he won't be able to wake up from.
