Will Eisner is one of the most prominent figures in the history of comics. Born in New York at the beginning of the 20th century, from the pages of series like The Spirit and graphic novels like A Contract with God, he made fundamental contributions to the development of comics as an artistic medium. His use of typography and the introduction of a cinematic approach to panel composition marked a turning point.
