1927, the end of the short-lived era of aerial acrobats. Hawk E. Baron, a World War I veteran, tries to make a living by performing in his small plane from town to town. But his world is turned upside down when he accidentally crashes the wedding of Tillie and the wealthy man she has been forced to marry. This incident gives the rebellious young woman a way out and unleashes a thrilling chase by land and air.
