The installation of a very special factory in an equally unique country, and the subsequent leak of the mysterious gas used in its production, causes a disaster of enormous consequences. The incident results in no fatalities, but it does produce something unusual and unforeseen: a widespread loss of memory among those exposed to the explosion—in other words, all the inhabitants. No one knows how to tackle this problem, which worsens each day, until Demetrius, the shepherd, arrives from the distant mountains. He will bring not only excellent cheeses to feed the people, but much more.
