Many, many years ago, in a dilapidated basement on Valverde Street in Madrid, an old civil servant unwittingly created a civilization of religious fundamentalists, peanut gatherers, and those nostalgic for the electric stove. Into this chaos of fratricidal wars and collective hysteria lands a character of dubious origin, squat figure, and little sign of a redeemer; his name is Captain Torrezno.
