Somewhere in 1930s Spain, a single woman named Inés keeps her two daughters, Águeda and Rosita, hidden away in her house: for their own good, no one must know they exist. In this secret world, the girls feed voraciously on fantasy, lost in a beautiful dreamlike dance between reality and unreality. One night, Inés's path crosses with that of Clavel de Luna, a dazzling transvestite cabaret performer with whom she quickly connects: in the clandestine world they share, a powerful friendship blossoms, becoming a beacon of resistance and defying a suffocating and oppressive reality.
