Bobi is Roberto Bazlen, the keen and relentless reader, the elusive and secretive writer, the Triestine who lived in Milan and Rome, the great enigma of Italian literature. "A wide-open window onto a new world", as Eugenio Montale described him. "The elusive man", a "silent hurricane", "penetrating, unforgiving, meticulous", as the author, his friend and confidant, notes.
