Un silencio visible

A writer flees to an isolated house on the shores of a lagoon. From there, he intends to complete his great work, a text whose hallucinatory ultimate purpose is inconceivable: to write the unwritten, to escape from literarily imaginable narratives, to erase all trace of the self. But his objective is thwarted when the provocative shadow of a woman reaches his lair. Perceiving her as a threatening presence, Patricio Montes assumes the role of an outlaw cattle rustler. She, the mestiza he loved, now stars in a scene from Duel in the Sun. And leaping from one film to another, subjected to a frenzy of sex, drugs, and alcohol, the protagonists of this story will go from gunmen to gangsters, from bloodthirsty bandits to cowardly, dying cowboys.
