For approximately 2,500 years, Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" has provided guidance to leaders and strategists on the best battlefield tactics, the management of subordinates, and the use of cunning and deception. A foundational text of Chinese tradition, it has also become essential reading in the West for those seeking success in personal life, business, or any other area where conflicts must be resolved effectively. "The Art of War" is one of the most translated works of the Chinese classical period, although it is rarely translated directly from classical Chinese, and even less frequently is the original text presented side-by-side.
