El íntimo cuchillo

Perplexity is the defining characteristic of Pedro López Lara's work. Perplexity in the face of life and also in the face of poetry itself. This capacity for wonder at the most commonplace vicissitudes has led him to publish sixteen books of poetry in just four years. But this doesn't imply rushed writing, since all of them were finished before the first one appeared. He is a consistently original poet, possessing a personal stylistic and typographical convention; for example, and with few exceptions, he dispenses with italics and quotation marks. In *El íntimo cuchillo* (The Intimate Knife), he offers a reflection on the vertiginous passage of time.
