Without a doubt one of the most relevant artists of recent decades, Leonard Cohen has left an indelible mark on the spirit of several generations. A few months before his death, which occurred in November 2016, he confessed in an interview: «I am prepared to die. [...] At a certain point, and if you're still in your right mind, [...] you have to take the opportunity to let it all go. It may be a cliché, but its analgesic power is underestimated. Leaving everything in order, if you can do it, is one of the most comforting activities, and the benefits are incalculable. » This final work is a generous sample of the sinuous journey and the wide variety of voices of a lyrical and philosophical poet and singer at one time, fierce and corrosive at others. This volume includes poems about war, repentance and friendship, such as the well-known tribute to Enrique Morente; the lyrics of his most recent songs; fragments of the numerous notebooks that he jealously kept since adolescence; and an exciting series of self-portraits and other drawings.
