La muerte de las cuatro reinas

Iris left her homeland at eighteen, upon learning of her mother's death. On a Torian ship, she sailed along the canal to the palace. She adapted to her new life and the throne without flinching and insisted on participating in court proceedings minutes after her mother was buried beneath the palace. That same night, she stayed up until dawn, reading books on Arquian history and diplomacy. Nothing affected her. Not even her mother's death. Iris opened her green eyes and gazed at the bright blue sky. She was enjoying the respite from the eternal golden palace. As a glass dome surrounded the palace, a golden hue was reflected both in each room and throughout its interior. Even at night, the corridors took on a dark amber hue, as if the darkness dared not touch the queens with its black fingers... A bee stung her throat. A sharp sting that gave way to a slight pain… The bee sting began to hurt more, until Iris couldn't breathe. Her throat filled with saliva. Was she allergic? She brought a hand to the sting and found a huge bump on her skin. When she pulled her hand away, it was covered in blood. A few babbled escaped her lips. A figure loomed over her, flashing gleaming teeth in a gesture of both threat and glee. A ray of sunlight reflected off a thin knife dripping blood. Iris felt a surge of anger as warm blood began to gush from her neck. She threw her arms back and tossed her crown to the ground. "This is an outrage! I am the Queen of Arquia! How dare you cut my ass…?"
