Two years have passed since Sasuke left the village, and Naruto has finished his training with Jiraiya, finally returning to Konoha. Kakashi tests him and Sakura in the Bell Exams, where they demonstrate their abilities, thus restoring Team 7. Akatsuki attacks! Deidara versus Gaara, the Kazekage! Just before their first mission, the Sand Village sends a message warning them of the Akatsuki's arrival, so they must rush to the rescue with utmost urgency. Meanwhile, Gaara falls into Deidara's ingenious trap and is captured. Akatsuki finally takes action! Naruto and Team 7 head to the Sand Village to rescue Gaara!
