Qué quedará de nosotros

In April 1982, following the Argentine Armed Forces' recapture of the Falkland Islands, three reserve soldiers from the class of 1962 were recalled to active duty and sent to the islands. Full of anticipation, curiosity, and a thirst for adventure, Carlitos, Antonio, and Conejo ventured into this unknown territory, which would become increasingly inhospitable as distant diplomatic negotiations failed and war with the British broke out. They would then face hardship, the cold, fear, and a loneliness barely alleviated by the strength of their friendship. And, alongside their comrades and superiors, they would experience the wide range of emotions and attitudes—nobility, selfishness, courage, and folly—born in the extreme circumstances that war imposes on human beings.
