Elijah Miller hates his office job at a large candy company, but he has no choice but to put up with his inept boss. Elijah dreams of leaving it all behind to become a writer and buy a cabin where he can write all the stories swirling in his head by the fire. When his boss offers him the promotion he so desperately needs in exchange for acquiring a small cookie factory before Christmas, Elijah has no choice but to accept. So he packs his bags and moves to Fiananville, a small town in Massachusetts. There he meets the Coxs, the couple who run the Fiananville hotel, their spirited granddaughter Eve, and the girl's father, Jefferson, with whom sparks fly immediately. Although Elijah has no intention of starting a romantic relationship, Jefferson uses all his charm to try and rekindle his love for Christmas. What will happen when Jefferson discovers the real reasons that brought Elijah to Fiananville?
