Wings : Band on the Run

Told in a revealing first person, this immersive account of Paul McCartney and Wings is the fascinating oral history of a band that came to define a generation. Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run chronicles the astonishing, almost improbable, story of Paul McCartney and his newly formed band from 1971 until their breakup just a decade later. Based on countless hours of interviews with McCartney, key musicians, and family members, Wings movingly recounts, with the wisdom of half a century, the story of a man and musician grappling with the aftermath of the Beatles' breakup, and soon joined by his wife—American photographer Linda McCartney—on keyboards and vocals, drummer Denny Seiwell, and guitarist Denny Laine, among other musicians who passed through the group.
