El perfume

Jean-Baptiste Grenouille bears a unique birthmark: he has no scent of his own. Yet, he possesses an exceptional gift: a prodigious sense of smell that allows him to perceive every scent in the world. Born into poverty, Grenouille struggles against his circumstances and climbs the social ladder, eventually becoming a renowned perfumer. He creates perfumes capable of inspiring sympathy, love, compassion… But to obtain these masterful formulas, he must murder young virgins, extract their bodily fluids, and liquefy their intimate scents.
