Juan Rex

Poor Juan Rex. He comes from an illustrious family of fear-mongering professionals, yet he doesn't exactly enjoy himself when his turn comes to scare people. His true interests lie in show business—though a kind that breaks with family tradition. Fearing he might disappoint his parents, Juan Rex—with the help of a new friend and the neighborhood locals—tries to convince them that, just like every ancestor before him (from Juan Kamón and Juandertal to the present day), there is only one possible profession. But honesty is almost always the best policy. In this giant-sized book, where a giant hero takes center stage, Joaquín Camp plays with the tropes of movies featuring massive creatures that have the annoying habit of stomping on metropolises. Blending this with a healthy dose of tenderness and humor, he creates an ode to being different—a book brimming with joy, freedom, and poetry.
