Una novela sincera e incisiva que abre la puerta de la narrativa masculina sobre el deseo heterosexual en la generación milenial.
Ernest, the protagonist of this novel, writes to someone he loves: he wants to narrate his desire, to remember the previous night, to celebrate it. But he can't. He can't speak of desire without becoming entangled in self-justification and guilt, and so he summons a narrator.
It is this new voice, intelligent and uninhibited, that tells us his story: we meet Ernest when he is still a child and witness his sexual awakening, with his first obsessions, the strange mechanisms of seduction, pornography, love, and disillusionment. We follow him through his youth until he falls in love with Aurora, with whom he forges an unusual relationship intertwined with other people, such as Gisela, a married mother interested in free love. In this way, we see almost two decades unfold—those of the consolidation of social media and feminism, those that span from Messenger to Tinder—as a sentimental and political education. By circumventing the weight of rules and conventions, Ernest, like an entire generation, tries to create his own personal code.
