Cuando ellos se van

Those who have lived with a dog know that their presence brightens the days and fills them with happiness. Loyal, affectionate, and intelligent friends, every moment spent with them is a lesson in everything worth learning. It's possible to trace the special bond between dogs and humans back to the beginning of time, but one of the most beautiful and moving examples is found in the Odyssey. When Odysseus finally reaches the shores of Ithaca, exhausted after long years wandering the sea, the only one who recognizes him is Argos, his loyal dog, who all that time has remembered him and waited for their final reunion. Julia Navarro also had to say goodbye to her inseparable Argos, a beautiful German Shepherd with whom she had shared joy and countless hours of writing. Much more than a book of mourning, When They Leave is the emotional tribute full of love and tenderness that Julia Navarro pays - through Literature, Art, Cinema and History - to those generous companions who care for us, love us and protect us throughout their lives.
