Madrid, 1953. On the eve of her wedding, which will bring together Madrid's high society, Catalina meets Andrei, a charismatic violinist of Romanian origin, by chance. Although the attraction between them is so strong that it could shatter all social conventions, their relationship is cut short when the musician has to suddenly flee Spain. More than fifty years after Catalina's death, her close friend, the Marchioness of Lezma, decides to contact a young journalist to help her unravel a secret. Catalina's will includes a mysterious musical score that must be delivered to Irina, a violin virtuoso whom someone seems keen to keep hidden. Through the Marchioness's account and her own investigations, the journalist will unravel a story that leaps from the post-war years to the present day, weaving together a plot of intrigue and espionage with a thrilling tale of impossible love.
