Amelia Collins is a successful woman by definition. She'd even go so far as to say she's been successful at being single. But, according to her family, that's not the case, and she's tired of the constant questions about her nonexistent love life. When she receives an invitation to yet another cousin's wedding, she decides she's had enough of her family's incessant comments, so she looks for someone willing to accompany her and pretend to be her boyfriend. After a chance encounter with Reginald Cleaves, Amelia decides he's exactly what she's been looking for. He's a bit odd, but that's okay; it'll help keep her family from asking too many questions (and it certainly won't hurt anyone who's incredibly hot). For the centuries-old vampire Reggie, pretending to date Amelia and being her date at her cousin's wedding sounds like a lot of fun. And if it helps him improve his acting skills by passing himself off as a human, all the better. As Amelia and Reggie continue their fake romance, it becomes clear to Amelia that Reggie is as loyal to her as a vampire is to blood, and that her first impressions of him couldn't have been more wrong. Suddenly, the possibility of having something real with him doesn't sound so bad.
