In Munio's country, children don't celebrate birthdays. Because as soon as they leave childhood behind, the kingdom's army comes knocking, forcing them to fight in an absurd war that matters to no one except their monarch and the king of the neighboring country. Having just turned twelve and more afraid than ashamed, Munio flees his village armed with a bundle, a handful of his mother's advice, a boot full of lethal liquid, and no brilliant plan. He doesn't suspect that his path will soon cross with that of a peculiar troupe of traveling players... Nor that they will teach him that, sometimes, imagination can be stronger than war.
