El final de la guerra : La última puñalada a la República

$ 26.45
This is the story of an avoidable tragedy that cost many thousands of lives and ruined tens of thousands more. It has numerous protagonists, but focuses on three individuals. The first, Dr. Juan Negrín, president of the government of the Second Republic and victim of what could be called a conspiracy of fools, tried to prevent the tragedy. The other two were responsible for what happened. One, Julián Besteiro, acted with astonishing naiveté. The other, Segismundo Casado, acted with a surprising combination of cynicism, arrogance, and selfishness. The result was a humanitarian catastrophe and the worst possible end to the tragedy that was the Spanish Civil War.
