The Bennets have brought five beautiful daughters into the world, all in the bloom of youth, none of whom are yet married. Mrs. Bennet is obsessed with finding them good husbands with a good income who will provide them with a peaceful, quiet, and comfortable life. However, she hasn't reckoned with the desires of her two eldest daughters, Jane and Elizabeth, who are aware of their responsibilities but enter the marriage market hoping to meet future husbands with whom they can fall in love. Everything changes when new neighbors arrive in their town, among them the very wealthy Mr. Darcy, who makes a terrible impression on Elizabeth and will influence her life and the lives of all her sisters in many different ways.
