El cuento de don Quijote

*The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha* is one of the most outstanding works of Spanish literature of all time and a cornerstone of world literature. Deeply familiar with this classic, writer and philologist Emilio Pascual and acclaimed artist Javier Serrano have combined their talents to create a delightful illustrated book—an ideal way for young readers to discover Cervantes’s masterpiece. Witty, concise, and rhyming verses—paired with expressive, caricature-style illustrations—depict the settings and events of the story. They brilliantly introduce us to the cast of characters, both major and minor, with a clever sense of humor. Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, Rocinante, Dulcinea, the housekeeper, the niece, the priest, the barber, and many others appear across thirty-four compositions. Each piece concludes with a game or riddle, showcasing the surprising number of words that rhyme with the names Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.
