Archipiélago invisible

This book brings together a series of literary profiles, the fruit of years of reading, affinities, and personal discoveries by its author. Its protagonists share a common attitude: intellectual independence, creative freedom, and a rejection of literature as an instrument of militancy or propaganda. Novelists, poets, essayists, critics, philosophers, journalists, editors, and other creators compose a heterodox cartography of Latin American literature of the last century, outside the bounds of canons, trends, and clichés. Each text invites the Spanish-speaking reader to rediscover a singular work and a different way of understanding literary creation. The volume is completed with original portraits by the renowned Mexican artist Fabricio Vanden Broeck.
