Sin piedad (Harry Hole 14)

The year has just begun and the young agent Oleg Fauke arrives at his new position, in the Homicide section of the Oslo police. In a very short time he will set foot on the scene of several brutal murders, until he realizes that each one reproduces a scene from a classic movie and that the victims have something in common. Harry Hole has found a job at an insurance company, investigating possible fraud on its clients. It could be a piece of cake if Harry didn't insist over and over again on making life miserable for himself. Furthermore, what began as a simple way to advise his stepson Oleg in his investigations is now dragging him into the maelstrom of crimes that seem to have been masterminded by a sophisticated psychopath. A serial killer is putting together his masterpiece, and Harry is going to find it impossible to stay out of it. What's more, he seems condemned to play a role in it. Each step could be the last and time advances without mercy… until the moment when it is time to deliver the coup de grace.
