This book condenses the teachings and exercises of an experiential workshop in which a group simulates twelve months as if they were their last. Since 2004, the author has coordinated this transformative experience with the shared goal of discerning what is truly important. We tend to postpone what is valuable, as if time were unlimited. Being aware of our mortality shatters that illusion. We don't need to know when we will die to begin to live. We need to understand that life is a fleeting moment and that, between the miracle of birth and the miracle of death, it is within our power to learn how to live it.
