The great crisis of 2008 brought a hopeful movement to Spain, the 15M, which crystallized into a political party that managed to garner enough votes to break the traditional two-party system. Today, that great hope has vanished, blown up from within, plunging an entire generation into disillusionment. This generation chose to believe in it but discovered that those who came to change everything not only failed to achieve their goals but also ceased to represent those who had voted for them. This book explains it from the inside. Violeta Serrano accepted the nomination as an independent candidate for the Congress of Deputies for Sumar in the province of León in the 2023 general elections. After rejecting an official position within the party due to disagreements with the direction the movement was taking, she was dismissed via video call. No political leader ever bothered to check on her again. Some time after that episode, she recounts her experience and proposes an inspiring alternative from forgotten Spain to heal the wounds and disillusionment by building new communities rooted in the land.
