Adam Gray has organized a family vacation hoping to mend the bonds that time has frayed. Along with his wife and two daughters, he travels to a remote cabin, isolated among snow-covered mountains, to spend a few days away from the world before Christmas. But what begins as an idyllic retreat soon transforms into a nightmare. A mysterious Christmas stocking appears hanging on the barn door, and each morning it contains a new gift. It's the daughters who discover them first: at first, they seem like simple pranks. Then, unsettling signs. Finally, outright threats. With each passing day, the gifts become more macabre, and fear takes hold in the cabin. Until the family understands the terrible truth: someone has trapped them in a twisted and deadly game. An imaginary friend who isn't playing for fun, but to destroy them. And this time, opening the next gift could be the last mistake they make.
