El nuevo libro de una joven y brillante poeta, una de las voces que trazará el rumbo de la lÃrica española de los próximos años.
How do poems settle? Rosa Berbel's new book understands poetry as a geological endeavor, in which strata accumulate and different times merge to emerge in unexpected ways. Continuing with some of the intuitions she explored in "The Phantom Planets", "Sedimentation" glimpses a landscape hollowed out by subterranean currents: those of affection, loss, and desire, which leave their marks on matter. Geological time and intimate time overlap, giving rise to a discontinuous, musical, and plastic history. Like sediments carried by a current, the poems in this book are deposited in layers, configuring a series without beginning or end, traversed by repetitions and insistent images. Between each layer, a fundamental question persists: what forces shape our lives, and what remains after erosion?
