Eve has always been deeply fascinated by antiques: she's convinced they're windows to other times and other lives. That's why she meticulously researches every piece in her small antique shop in Cambridge, determined to uncover its story and pass it on to whoever buys it. Adam is the complete opposite: for him, only the future matters. He's come to the city to take care of his recently deceased grandfather's estate, and his sole aim is to settle everything as quickly as possible and return to London. However, when he discovers that his grandfather entrusted Eve with the task of emptying the family home, Adam fears that the young woman's meticulous work will delay his plans. What neither of them imagines is that Adam's grandfather chose them both for a purpose. Now, they've found themselves in the exact right place at the right time. What does fate have in store for them?
