Corazón el Enamorado

Our narrator knows what it takes to tell a good love story: its secrets and implicit messages, its moments of glory and its setbacks. Unfortunately, his most important romance, the one he experienced firsthand, was never so simple. During the last fall before finishing university, in his 17th century literature class, he meets two prodigy students: Sam and Yash. Best friends who live off campus, in the elegant home of a professor who's on sabbatical, invite her to become part of his intoxicating world of academic fervor, witty banter, and boisterous card games. They nickname her Jordan, and she quickly discovers the pleasures of friendship, love, and her own intellectual ambition. However, youthful passion is unpredictable, and she soon finds herself caught in an intense and complicated love triangle. Decades later, Jordan is living the life he always dreamed of and the vulnerable days of his youth seem like a distant memory. But a surprise visit and unexpected news force her to return to a world she thought she had left behind and confront the decisions and disappointments that marked her youth.
