Una fábula sueca

Two women, claiming to be sisters, arrive at the Swedish consulate to request a passport renewal for their elderly father, who they say is unable to travel. From the outset, something about their story doesn't add up. Ingrid, the consul who attends to them, notices contradictions and begins to suspect that something more is hidden behind these two women. Thus, what seemed like a simple administrative procedure soon transforms into an obsession. The sisters begin to infiltrate, slowly and silently, Ingrid's private life, blurring the lines between the mundane and the disturbing. As the consul investigates, clues emerge that are difficult to ignore: sinister rumors, chilling testimonies, and the suspicion that the elderly man has vanished without a trace. When the case is handed over to the police, the official investigation uncovers a truth far darker than anyone could have imagined, a tale of negligence, silence, and a horror that is difficult to comprehend. And, above all, a question that has an entire city on edge: What did they do with that man?
