Lockwood, the new tenant of Thrushcross Grange, located in the inhospitable Yorkshire moors, is forced to seek refuge one night at Wuthering Heights, his landlord's home. There he discovers turbulent events that occurred years earlier: the burning passion between the young foundling Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, and her subsequent betrayal. Since Heathcliff's bitterness and thirst for revenge directly affect the next generation, his heirs have no choice but to fight to escape his tormented legacy.
