Nahuel and Itahisa share memories from the moment they discovered they could have them. Christmas was always their favorite time of year: surrounded by the cold and animal documentaries, every December in Bruges, magic happened, and two children separated by the Atlantic were reunited. But nothing lasts forever, not even being the best of friends. And so, Itahisa and Nahuel ended up becoming strangers. They no longer know what motivates them to get up each morning, or how many times they smile a day. However, the small island of Fuerteventura —with its big waves, its strong winds, and its white sand beaches— will confront them once again, face to face, with the past and the weight of goodbyes on their shoulders. Nothing remains of those magical Christmases in Bruges. Now, in the cool island summer, the best kitesurfer in the Canary Islands and a marine biologist fascinated by pilot whales will have to learn to tolerate each other, and discover if those children who loved each other with snowballs still exist in the transparent waters of the island of wind.
