Wiesbaden, 1965. The Café del Ángel is thriving under Hilde's management and desperately needs more staff. But when Hilde hires a new Italian waiter, Giuseppe, her parents struggle to accept his "southern" mentality. There's also turmoil in her brother Willi's marriage; he's a star at the Wiesbaden theater and a flirt at work with a beautiful colleague.
