Las campanas de Santiago (Saga de la Reconquista)

Compostela, 997 AD. Almanzor, "the Scourge of God," is poised to destroy the city of the Apostle James, beacon of Hispanic Christendom and destination of a centuries-old pilgrimage route. Amidst the chaos, Tiago, a humble blacksmith, is separated from his wife, Mencía, who is pregnant. She manages to escape. He is captured and forced, along with other prisoners, to carry the basilica's bells to Córdoba on a perilous journey. Thus begins a thrilling adventure that will force Mencía to fight for survival while Tiago desperately tries to return to her side.
