In the dark night, a hand with a strange red thread reached out and guided Xie Lian through the labyrinth. Beneath the veil, Xie Lian could see only crimson robes and a flock of shimmering silver butterflies showing him the way. After returning to Heaven and explaining what he had seen, Xie Lian learned with dismay that this mysterious figure was one of the Four Phantom Kings, beings feared by all the gods.
